At Beautiful Living, we style properties for sale – also known as home staging.

Our aim is to create memorable spaces buyers fall in love with, helping you sell faster and for the best possible price. Home staging is more than just adding furnishings. We style with care, experience and intention to truly showcase your property to the target buyer.

our innovation story so far

Beautiful Living was founded in 2006 by Jane Verran after noticing a lack of local home stagers. With a background in interior design and an interest in real estate, Jane went about building Beautiful Living, focusing in the Manawatu. She used her knowledge from styling homes for sale in Wellington from an Auckland-based company, gaining first-hand insight into the power of home staging.

Born and raised in Palmerston North, Jane knows the area inside out and has grown Beautiful Living into a recognised market leader. She is passionate to develop the industry and share her knowledge also mentoring other stagers.

From humble beginnings 20 years ago, real estate agents and developers quickly saw the power of professional home staging. We grew from two house-lots stored in a spare room to around 70 homes across two large warehouses. Today, Beautiful Living has dedicated teams of stylists, admin, and logistics. We consistently reinvest in furniture and accessories to keep our range fresh, on trend and versatile for all types of homes.

In 2021 we were invited to partner with ArchiPro, New Zealand's premier platform showcasing our talented building and design industry. We remain one of the very few home stagers to be featured.

In 2021–2022, as staging became more popular, demand outpaced available stylists. We trialled a DIY option called Stage-in-a-Box—kits with everything needed to stage a room. While it worked, feedback showed most sellers preferred us to handle the install, because they valued our expertise. Selling a home is stressful enough!

From these insights, we went to work developing a streamlined service for everyday homes. In July 2024, we launched Savvy Home Staging, bringing full-service staging to homes that previously struggled to justify high-end options—proving that property at every price-point will benefit from home staging.
